So how do you keep it simple and still get great results? Here are the five best things you can do for your skin to plump, buff and smooth away your concerns and bring out that glow you've got hidden inside.
It goes without saying, however cleansing your skin is the most important step in gaining a photo ready complexion. Get a gentle cleanser that takes off every last bit of makeup from your lips to lashes, go to bed clean and have a good nights rest. Depending on your skin type there will be plenty of options to help you take the day off with ease. My favourite all rounder is a makeup artist FAVE! While you will still need to a gentle wash afterwards, this will take off any makeup, grime and dirt giving you a deeper cleanse with your usual products.

Why we love it:
2) Fresh Air & Relaxation
There is nothing better than getting out and taking in a big breath of fresh air but so many of us go from air conditioners at work to our temperature controlled trains, buses, cars etc and forget to get amongst it.
Just like you need air for your lungs, going outside and getting some fresh air on clean skin can help to make you feel fresher and more relaxed (no frowns lines!). So next time you are sitting on your couch, grab a copy of your favourite bridal mag and sit outside with clean fresh skin. Cue the fresh juice, dreamy weather and a good soft patch of grass. Wedding planning is meant to be fun! Take the time to enjoy it.
And don't forget to get plenty of sleep!
Regardless of if your skin tends to be dry or more on the oily side, its important to restore the moisture balance in your skin. Moisturiser comes in many forms from serums, oils, creams, gels and the list goes on. The aim of the game is to find one that makes your skin feel amazing. Chat to your local beautician, go into Myer or David Jones and find some samples. If you can't stand the feel of a heavy moisturiser but you still want to plump up your skin, try a night cream or a serum to use over night then just a light moisturiser during the day.
I have dehydrated skin, but I tend to get a little shiny towards the afternoon so I love to use organic rosehip oil. Its great for pigmentation, dark circles and you only need the tiniest amount so it doesn't feel greasy on my face. As I have acne scarring and I'm still prone to the odd break out, I like to use products that promote healing and rosehip oil does just that.
For those of you who want a moisture boost on the go, try Mac Fix Plus Spray. Mineral filled water mist with invigorating ingredients like Cucumber and Green Tea, this is a great pick me up. Think of it as a cup of coffee for your skin. Mist a few pumps over, under or even during your makeup application to keep that oh so fresh feeling. Bonus: it comes in a travel size and locking lid. Perfect for your handbag.

4) Don't forget your lips!
The officiant finally announces "You may kiss your bride"... But your lips are so rough they may not look too inviting for your groom! Eeek! Never fear, Lip balm is here! In the two weeks leading up to your nuptials, any time you eat, dream, sleep and breathe, apply your favourite lip balm.
If you are anything like me, you'll sleep with your mouth wide open and snoring so loud you could tear the paint off the walls. While your dreaming and dribbling away, all the breathing in and out of your mouth is drying out your lips. Its best to prevent dry lips than repair them, right? So before bed, when you moisturise your face, pucker up and put on some lip balm. (And while your at it, if your groom is likely to have a dry pout, plant a kiss on him before bed each night. Two Birds, One stone. )
5) Drink Water!
Even if you are pulling all nighters getting your Pintrest mason jars covered in just the right amount of burlap and lace, put down the coffee and energy drink and pick up a bottle of water. Hydrate and cleanse from the inside out.
Not only will your hydration improve, you will also have reduced puffiness, bloating and even your under eye bags won't seem so dark. I'm definitely not an example of a water drinker but there are so many delicious fruity ingredients you can add in to make your water more interesting. I love Lemon, Strawberry and Mint in my water. Make up a litre bottle and carry it around with you wherever you go. Tell your friends to nag you if you need a good nudge.
Water works wonders for your skin so if you do nothing else, drink water.
P.s! Its boosts your metabolism so you'll find those dress fittings that little bit easier too
